Bring the whole conversation into the room.
I speak about leadership, food and agriculture, recovery, advocacy, faith and the complicated places those subjects intersect. Some talks begin with professional expertise. Others begin with lived experience. The best ones usually draw from both.
Serious subjects don't require humorless conversations — and expertise doesn't require pretending to have every answer.
Built around the audience, not a canned talk.
A room full of meat-industry executives needs something different from a leadership conference, church gathering or group of people navigating recovery. I begin with the audience, the outcome and the conversation you want people to still be having after they leave.
Expertise
More than two decades across meat science and the food industry provide a foundation for conversations about agriculture, markets, processing, biotechnology, policy and the future of food.
Lived Experience
Recovery, trauma, caregiving, disability, faith and family have taught me things no credential could. When those experiences belong in the conversation, I don't speak about them from a distance.
Connection
Data matters. Stories matter. Humor matters. Most importantly, people need a reason to care. My goal is to connect ideas to the people sitting in the room rather than simply transfer information to them.
Conversations I bring to the room.
Every engagement can be shaped around the audience, but most of my speaking falls within four overlapping conversations.
Leadership Without
the Mythology
Rigorous honesty, humility, organizational culture, service and what happens when leaders stop needing to be the smartest or most important person in the room.

Food, Agriculture & the Future
Meat science, food systems, markets, biotechnology, agricultural policy and the challenge of having productive conversations when science, economics and politics collide.

Recovery, Trauma &
What Comes Next
What recovery and survivorship can teach us about honesty, resilience, accountability, hope and building a life that becomes larger than its most difficult chapters.
Recovery • Survivorship • Trauma • Restoration • Hope
Faith, Vocation & the Table
Calling, purpose, Food Theology, hospitality and what faith might have to say about work, leadership, agriculture and the ordinary responsibility to love our neighbor.

Start with an idea. Build the right talk.
Some conversations already have a name. Others begin with a problem your audience is trying to solve.
Rigorous Honesty
What recovery taught me about leadership.
A conversation about truth, accountability, humility and why healthy organizations need leaders willing to examine themselves before diagnosing everyone around them.
Agriculture Is Not a
Political Puppet
What happens when food becomes political theater.
An examination of agriculture, public policy and the real people downstream from decisions made in Washington — challenging audiences to move beyond partisan narratives toward useful agricultural policy.
Heroes Among Us
What ordinary people do when life becomes extraordinary.
Drawing from disaster response, trauma, recovery and service, this talk explores courage without celebrity — and what it means to become the person willing to move toward another person's need.

From keynotes to conversations.
Keynotes
Story-driven talks designed around a central idea and audience outcome. Tailored to make maximum impact, participation, thinking, and results.
Panels & Moderation
Technical, industry and public conversations that benefit from someone comfortable connecting different perspectives.
Training & Workshops
Longer-form learning for teams and industry audiences where practical application matters as much as inspiration.
Podcasts & Media
Interviews and conversations around meat, agriculture, food science, leadership, recovery, faith and advocacy.
Experience on both sides of the microphone.
My speaking draws from more than two decades in the meat and food industry, industry education and technical assistance, conference and panel work, preaching and theological study, nonprofit and disaster-response service, and public advocacy rooted in lived experience.
Industry expertise. Lived experience. Serious ideas. Human conversation.
Tell me about your audience.
You don't need to know the exact title of the talk. Tell me who will be in the room, what matters to them and what you hope happens because we spent that time together.
We'll build from there.
